My AT&T fiber set-up has an Ethernet output as well as the built-in wireless thru the modem, so if you are using this as a bridge, then no. If you are using this as the primary router then plug the fiber gateway (ethernet) into this router, connect one of the four ethernet ports into your desktop and connect everything else wireless.
