This is a suggestion when purchasing a Netgear or any electronics. Check the warranty and support of the product! Had I not purchased BestBuys warranty I would be stuck paying for support after the Netgear 90 day free support ended. While it still had a 1year you only get 90 days of free technical support. AX supports newer devices with faster connections and on a new frequency. For instance if you have an IPhone 11 or 12 you will benefit for the AX standard.
