I realize this is 6 months after the question was asked but I had a similar conversation with Spectrum today and wanted to share. I have been currently renting an all-in-one device which served as modem, router, and phone. I found out that even if I replace the all-in-one unit that, I will still need to use their unit for the phone, I just wont be charged the rental fee since I"m not using it for the internet. WTH? Not a typo. Anyway, I am going to now have 3 devices instead of the one (pros and cons to that setup but I digress). TBH though, I have my land line phone forwarded to my mobile so I may not use the ISP provided equipment anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Netgear now has a modem that is voice and phone. CM 1150v 3.1 Gigabyte. It will work with xfinity according to where website. First available January 2019.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It means it does not have phone line output, I use free modem from my provider(spectrum) It works better with separate modem for phone line. One of the reasons I purchased this modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no port or support for the telephone services that are offered from the cable companies. You almost always have to rent that hardware from the service provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Triple Play but used to have the voice feature. This modem will not work with the voice feature. In my area I have gig speed but there are no cable modems that will provide gig speed with the voice feature. You can see the list of cable modems that you can buy from retail on their web site and which works for gig speed, voice, etc. Since I had ADT for home security and was paying $57 per month I dropped their service and replaced the voice feature with Comcast/Xfnity's home security. With this modem I now have gig speed and still have the same bill amount with my Triple Play except now I save $57 per month by dropping ADT. If you do what I did make sure to get a Netgear Orbi router too. Your Internet speed will be the same throughout your house as well as outside in your front and back yards.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure about Comcast equipment requirements, but Cox tries to push their panoramic Wi-Fi cable modem, but by law they have to allow other manufacturers to configure equipment to use on their Network. I would check their website for approved routers and modems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know for sure but I only use for Comcast internet access. I take the words to mean it will not work with triple play but you can ask Comcast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's a hard question to answer. This modem would work as it is compatible with comcast. This issue is the phone and the tv. You would need a different modem to handle the phone and tv. With my plan my tv is connected separately from the internet modem. I also do not have voice. There is no way to directly connect a phone or TV to this modem. If you need to co next a phone or TV as well as internet, you will need to purchase something different.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
