How does the nighthawk work , do I need cable U null

The router has an ethernet cable connected to the WAN port of the router. The other end of that cable is also a male ethernet connector. Normally you would plug that ethernet cable into the appropriate cable modem or DSL equipment.

This router works awesome. Pushing 49-50mbps at all hours of the day
