• It’s a modem/router combo that adds a port for a home phone. To use for internet, you need to have Comcast Xfinity internet cable installed in your home and subscribe to Comcast Xfinity. The home phone connection is merely an add on feature.

• I don’t believe so. The 2 phone lines on the back of the router are for service from the cable provider.

• This device supports both phone and internet. Not all do, so make sure any device you choose can serve as a modem for phone service (like this does).
