After you plug it into power, the tv, and cable box, you have to call comcast and tell them the information from the bottom of the unit. I called on Labor Day and got someone who couldn't find it, but the next day I called and had no problem. Save that innformation. You'll need it to set up wirelesss for your devices and printer. You can take the old unit to a comcast "store" or they can email you a label and you take it to a ups store where they box it up and give you a receipt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to call cable company to activate and it may take about 30 minutes to get up and going. And then return old equipment. But it installs just like their equipment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to call Comcast and have them activate it to your account. Have your account number and serial numbers ready. Shouldn't take more than 10 min. Make sure to deactivate your old router if you had a previous one hooked up. Cheers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been on the phone for 1 hour and 25 minutes trying to get this activated with Comcast. The tech support person admitted right from the start this was the first time doing an activation and had to contact superior and finally came back to tell me the modem is not on Comcast compatibility list so she cannot add it to my account and remove the Comcast rental. Meantime the new mesh network the Geek Squad techs set up is working just fine so the modem IS compatible with Comcast but now I can't get my bill adjusted accordingly. Very mad at Comcast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not have to use UPS to send your old modem/router to Comcast. Simply take it to one of their stores and drop it off. They will give you a receipt.
