Yes, you can use openDNS on this modem.

Yes. But why pay for it when there is Quad9? Login to the router, under the "Advanced" tab there is a setup section. Expand it, click Internet setup. Scroll down to Domain name server dns address. Click use these dns servers. Put in 9.9.9.9 for primary for Quad9. Or whatever dns you want to use.
