• No minimum, but I wouldn't spend a premium on a cable modem that supports > 2.5GB/s down and > 1GB/s up if you're not going to use it. There are more optimal options in that case.

• This works with any speed below 2.5g on xfinity but does not provide wifi or voice. Here is what xfinity says: CM3000 (Next Gen Speed Tier) Built-in WiFi: No Voice-enabled: No Wired download speed: Up to 2.33 Gbps
