I have 2 laptops, 2 IPads 3 IPhones a Blueray player and a smart TV all on at the same time with excellent signal strength and no drop outs and have not had to reboot. Hope this helps, you wont be dissapointed by this router!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I currently have twelve devices connected to this router (mobile phones, PC's, Wifi Thermostat) all functioning without problems. While there is a finite amount of devices that could possibly connect to this router at the same time (a google search provided this number 38,793), the most important question would be the amount of bandwidth (internet speed) available at your home. The more devices sharing the bandwidth, the lower the overall speed available on each device. Bottom line: If connecting multiple devices to a router and speed is a concern, purchase the fastest broadband plan available in your location.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have 5 iPads, Apple TV, several phones and 3 laptops. No problem at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe I've currently got no fewer than three ipad/tablets, a couple ipods, three actual computers (laptops and tower), a three-station Tivo system, two Blu-ray players, two wireless printers, a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii, Xbox One and three or four IPhone/Droids all running through this router either wirelessly or hard-wired and have never had an issue with connectivity or speed. Obviously not all running @ once but sometimes it's close! Great product -
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Right now I have 4 different iPhones (4, 4s, 5, 5s), 3 iPads (1, 2, mini retinal) 3 laptops (2 wireless, 1 eNet) and 2 desktops (1 wiireless, 1 eNet) and have had no connectivity or performance issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have four computers, three phones, and a TV connected and have not had any connection or speed issues. On my old router, if the TV was streaming video, the computers would get noticeably slower - like dial-up speed. No issues so far with the Nighthawk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is always a limit to the number of devices a router can handle. One limitation is simply the number of IP addresses the device can give out, which is typically around 256 (ie. 192.168.0.1 through 192.168.0.256), although this isn't typically even possible, so the number of devices tends to be significantly less than that. In researching the router, multiple references, including netgear's own community forum state that this router can only support 32 devices per band. So since this is a dual band (2.4 and 5.0), the total is 64 devices. However, some items, like smart home devices can only operate on the 2.4Ghz band and will not be able to use the 5.0Ghz band at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think there is a limit to the number of devices you can connect at once. I have 3 computers and 4 devices and they all do fine. The dual band is great as the 5 ghz band is great for streaming video without having to buffer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can connect four directly to the router, but with it being wireless, all the computers, tablets, and smart TV's in the house can use it.
