Technically, yes, but you may be bound by international law related to encryption and what your ISP will allow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been utilizing the Nighthawk R7000 to VPN from my house to my office. The Nighthawk R7000 provides a very stable, fast Internet connection allowing me to VPN from my laptop connected to the Nighthawk R7000, through the Internet, and into my office. I use VPN software on my Laptop and my office uses a Cisco VPN appliance solution. I absolutely love the Nighthawk R7000 and have had no issues with it since I install it at home. My wireless speeds using the Nighthawk R7000's WiFi connection is over 100 Mbps Down and over 5 Mbps Up; speeds will depend on your Internet provider. I run VPN and Voice/IP phones through the Nighthawk R7000 with no issues. I highly recommend you buying one. :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I have done so myself when I went to Spain. BUT MAKE SURE you tell your ISP to make sure your IP address is FIXED BEFORE you attempt this. I know for a fact that Time Warner Cable views over seas ip addresses attempting to ping your in home network as an AUTOMATIC THREAT and their first line of defense is to change your dynamic ip address. Good luck to you and enjoy your router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the OpenVPN that is built in is for an outside device establishing a VPN connection, and that outside device will be assigned an internal IP from your router, and be able to communicate with other devices on your internal network. A quick and easy setup for you would be to have one of your systems inside your network act as a NAT for all the other systems. That one system would have something like OpenVPN server running on it, and all your other systems would use the system defined as your NAT as the default gateway after the NAT has been configured. If you have Windows Server license or trial, you would enable this under Routing and Remote Access Role.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I've seen, the ASUS AC68R has more "business class" features than the Netgear especially with VPN.
