You'll plug this router into your Comcast gateway using the provided RJ46 cable. The wireless router works SO much better than the one that Comcast provides.

This could cause interference with the R700. other than that, you just need to connect the R700 via CAT5 cable(LAN/Ethernet cable) to your Xfinity Cable modem. The R700 has a set up wizard that will guide you through the set up process. Be sure to choose router and not access point during set up.
