“I am about to get 1G C-spire fiberoptic wire to inside my house, I have purchased the Netgear AX4200 with ethernet RJ-45 connection. Do I need to purchase another modem to connect from fiber optic to my AX4200? I want to run WIFI 6 mesh system. Thx”

I have contacted cspire about this and connecting my router. They told me my router is all I would need which sounds correct to me. I am sure they will need the ID for the router to set it up on their end. But should be all you need.

Please try again later.The only way you would need to purchase an additional Router to tether the Orbi to, is if your internet provider prevents you from using just the Orbi. We have AT&T high speed 1Gbps up and down, and they require us to use their router as a gateway. I just went into the settings, and put the ATT router in pass through mode, and connect the Orbi that way. Hope this helps.
