I am currently on Verizon FiOS, but what i remember of Xfinity is that it needs a Cable Modem, you need to have the Cable modem and turn off the router functionality and if it has WiFi enabled disable that also. And connect the Orbi to your Cable Modem and use that as a Router. Hopefully this should help, I dont have Xfinity anymore so this information may be stale.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I downloaded the Orbi app and followed the instructions. Ran a RJ45 from cable modem to the router. Bought my equipment do not rent anything from Comcast.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can if your ISP allows the Orbi as an approved unit. Mine does not so I use it in Access Point mode. Since it isn't approved by my ISP if I use it as a router, they cut my access speed to a crawl.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I bought myself a cable modem docis 3.1 then used cat 5 or 6 to my Orbi router. Then wireless connect my satellites. I don’t rent a thing from Comcast. Use the rental fees savings for the purchase price of my equipment. Buy quality equipment get 120 months of saving rental fees before I have to think about replacing my equipment again. Good luck Freddy.
