• Yes. You should be able to log into the modem and convert it to a modem only. Just did that with a Comcast one

• No, Not Necessary. You can just disable the Wi-Fi, Radio, On The Spectrum Modem. Other Than that. You, Will See There wi-Fi Name/SSID,, AND the New Orbi.
