My main router is in my upstairs office which normally has the door closed. My satellite is in my basement with good backbone connection with the router. This has improved my overall Wi-Fi throughout the house. I have had multiple gamers online at one time with NO problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes 100% I just had the same setup Basement, 1st floor and second floor 100% coverage in all area's. this is a 6000 SF home. Even outside the signal is great about 75 feet into my back yard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends a bit on the distance between the devices and the material your home is made of. I have mine working in a long multi-story home, with no issues

The Orbi will act as your new WIFI router. You can hook it up to your existing modem in the basement, then place the satellites in the upstairs living areas.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Was also a concern of mine. My set up has the router on the second floor in my office and a satellite in the kitchen. I get full signal in my basement - even in the remote corner where my workout room is.
