“Does Orbi main unit replace your current WiFi router?”

• Yes it does and it will work way better than any router your service provider can offer you. I have spectrum at the highest download speed and their wireless router was no where near as powerful as the orbi.

• Yes, the main unit is just like replacing your existing (non-mesh) router in same location. The only difference is now you add satellites elsewhere that dramatically improves your range! It works great!
