The Orbi router system is compatible with virtually all modems on the market today via direct Ethernet connection regardless of which ISP you utilize. You have the option of either replacing your current router with the Orbi router, or running it in Access Point mode alongside it. Instructions for setting up the Orbi in AP mode are located beginning on page 83 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK50#docs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but if your looking to just get more wireless converge there are cheaper options. This is meant to replace your router and be the main units through out the house and you can add up to 4 units per setup which is nice. This should be enough for 4000 sq. but with wireless you just never know. There are so many things that effect it example walls, other wireless devices etc. So a lot of it is trail and error and don't believe what they put on the box about how much coverage you can get. They get these numbers by doing testing in a perfect environment.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Ring Doorbell Pro will work fine with the AC3000 units... I have the Ring Pro on my AC3000 network. If you install the AC3000 tri-pack, you will not need to use your AC1200 router any longer. I do not know if the AC1200 unit(s) can interwork with the AC3000s, but you shouldn't need more than 3 AC3000 units for 4,000 square feet in any case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they are. But it's good to disable the wifi on your router.
