“I live in an apt building. Pay for 400mbps. Near my router I get speeds from 275-475 mbps on 5g. Once I go to another room steps away it doesn’t get above 200. When I test on 2g it never gets above 60mb. Will a mesh system help the 2g and be consistent 5g”

My AT&T router is in basement of ranch home. Desktop on main floor was sending/receiving about 25 mbps. With Orbi Base in basement and satellite upstairs, went to 60, which is what I pay for. My wifi works at my neighbor's house across the street. Be sure to read about advanced setting to AP mode; we had “404” errors on several internet sites until I changed the setting.
