While it might not cause a noticable speed slow down it does cause interference to have 4 or more SSID's being broadcast in your home. Your quality of signal could be affected as they all are competing for airtime in their respective bandwidths i.e. 2.4 and 5.0 GHZ. My suggestion would be to at least get TWC to shut down the router functions of your cable modem and put it in bridge mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, each one will keep a constant connection to the internet, and pretty much be a leach for bandwidth. you should be able to turn your TWC router mode off if you give them a call
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know this is an older post, so hope I can still help. If you have a modem/router combo along with an additional router (such as the Apple AirPort Time Capsule), the built-in wireless feature needs to be turned off in the modem/router from your ISP (TWC). Apple AirPorts used to be cool, but it’s clear that Apple has left the wi-if business as they haven’t designed anything new in almost 4 years. Get the Orbi AC3000 and find a new backup solution. But to answer your question, you can’t have two wi-if networks but be connected to both at the same time. So ultimately it wouldn't help buying this if you are keeping the Time Capsule.

Your options are to either turn off the wifi network on the router(s) you are not using (this is what I do), or if you must have multiple networks, check to make sure they are using different channels. You mention that you have "4 networks". This probably means that you have both a 2.4ghz and a 5ghz instance of each network being broadcast with different network ID's. Thus, you would turn off both the 2.4 and 5ghz version of the wifi on the router you are not going to use, which would leave only 2 networks showing up - the two bands available from the wifi router that is still on. Remember that you want to keep the wifi router with the best / fastest / farthest reaching signal strength available.

Please try again later. You have the option of either turning off the radios in your other routers and strictly running the Orbi (recommended), or running the Orbi alongside the others in Access Point mode. Instructions for setting up the Orbi in AP mode are located beginning on page 83 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK50#docs (NOTE: The Orbi router requires a direct Ethernet connection to your home's modem and speeds will be dependent upon a number of different factors.)
