No, Orbi is a wifi network router not an internet service provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the Orbi still depends on your providers service so if you have Cable / Fiber / DSL that is your base connection from you provider. The Orbi will in most instances need to connect via a modem to get onto the providers network. The instances where it can replace you providers router / modem is when the provider has wired your connection from their equipment outside to your house via Cat5e/Cat6. The issue for DSL is it typically comes in over the phone line (CAT3 cabling) and if you are remote they more than likely don't have Cat5 or Coax cable options for you. So, while your home network would see speed and coverage improvement for traffic around the house (i.e. watching movies or transferring files from machine to machine or device to device in your own home) it won't help with improving the internet UP / DOWN speed for internet services (Skype, Xbox Live, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, E-Mail, Web Surfing, etc.) because it can only go as fast as your DSL connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DSL is a type of internet, the Orbi only uses your existing internet service. Short answer, NO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It's is not a modem. You would connect Orbi to your Internet DSL Modem. If you have Wireless on your current Modem you just turn that feature off so Orbi is your only Wireless network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Orbi gives you wireless access to your existing Internet service - it would work with your DSL, not take its place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Orbi system is strictly a router and satellite that form a WiFi mesh network by transmitting your existing internet signal throughout your home. You will still need to subscribe to an Internet Service Provider for internet service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Orbi is not a ISP (Internet Service Provider) it's a router which puts out a strong WiFi signal that can blanket 4k Sq. Ft. house. If your DSL service provider is slow look into another option maybe Cable or Satellite ISP.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this does not give you Internet Access by itself it does distribute the internet you get from a Internet Service Provider such as DSL or Cable Internet. You need that plus a compatible modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, unfortunately you still need some sort of Internet connection. This is for the local WiFi network in your house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a DSL router/modem already installed, you just plug this into the router you already have. However, your speed is limited to what DSL is providing. Great unit, very fast, but is limited by the actual speed you have from your DSL provider.
