Orbi is very fast WiFi. If your buffering is caused by slow Internet at your location, then Orbi won't help. But if your buffering is caused by a slow WiFi access point, then yes, Orbi will definitely reduce (likely eliminate) your buffering. You might try using something like the Speedtest app on your computer and/or phone to test the internet and WiFi speeds at your location to get a better idea of your particular issue. I'm new to Orbi, but I've figured out already that it can solve just about any WiFi speed problems.

See what number your network gets. If it is in the single lower double digits, you may just have too little bandwidth. The Orbi will likely improve your networks overall performance locally, but if your ISP is slow... then all internet activity will be slow and there isn't much Orbi can do about that. Check out the following link for guidelines/ recommendations from Netflix based on use: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/306 Internet Connection Speed Recommendations Below are the internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing TV shows and movies through Netflix. 0.5 Megabits per second - MINIMUM Required broadband connection speed 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would depend on a number of factors including not only the distance from your router/satellite to your devices, but also the devices themselves, your speed plan via your ISP, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We set up the Orbi next to our first floor entertainment system. We usually watch Netflix upstairs in bed. Before we installed the Orbi, Netflix was constantly buffering. It was so frustrating. Haven’t had that problem at all since we got the Orbi. It has solved all of our WiFi issues through out our house!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I stream Netflix on two devices in my home too. One of my devices is wired and the other is wireless. This is a good product and I get a consistent 400-500meg WiFi Ookla Speedtest throughout my 2600sqft 4 level home...with that being said, however, I also have 1gig internet. Your ISP that you have and the speed you’ve purchased from them probably is more significant....I don’t have any buffering issues at all with my setup!!
