• Yes it will work any stand alone modem. or a combo modem/router, but the combo has to be in bridge mode to allow the Netgear Orbi's to be the main router.

• It should. I have it connected to a Comcast branded Arris TG1682G gateway w/ voice in bridge mode (ie, just using the Arris as a modem, not a router) and have had no problems. You may want to check with your provider to be safe.

• The Orbi system is compatible with virtually all Ethernet-enabled modems (just needs to connect to the modem via Ethernet cable).
