yes. it is backwards compatible. you can connect your satellite routers to any Orbi Mesh router setup. I had the old version where I had to connect the satellite to the wall like a plug in but I upgraded and it still works. You just have to make your new orbi router the main router and use the others as mesh. Good luck!
