The Orbi system (or any wireless router) connects to your Internet Service Providers (ISP) modem (cable or DSL or Satellite) to connect your home to the internet and provide wired or wireless connections for your devices. If you are using the Netgear Orbi system, you should disable the wireless (WiFi) capabilities of your ISP's modem to avoid interference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While you have the option of hooking the Orbi up to your local network to access your local devices, you will require an ISP and modem in order to access the Internet. The Orbi system is strictly a powerful router system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it doesn't provide Wi-Fi you have to get that through a cable provider or another source. This just carries the signal though out the house. As for the strength of the signal I haven't had any problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My assumption is that you mean internet access when you say Wi-Fi. You still need to have an internet provider to get internet access. If you are using someone like Cox Cable, then you will need a cable modem, and you will connect the Orbi to the cablem mode so you can have internet access via your Wi-Fi system. You could use Orbi without an internet provider, but you would only be able to access things withing your household like network printers and drives...and you could access data on different devices on your network. Orbi is very fast, and blankets your home with Wi-Fi signal eliminating dead spots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does not provide internet service. This hooks into the router provided by your internet service provider with an ethernet cable provided. The Orbi routes the internet wirelessly throughout your home.
