I have the same issue, and also want to know the answer. The OP says that s/he has ONE meter, not two. Will this system work in this situation?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if there is a shared neutral bus at the main panel. Two separate meters with two separate lines are not connected. Sounds like a straight either net line from the house is the cure.
