“would this work for places not attached to house? like i have a back house that is a dead zone could i plug this onto main house and plug other in back house to a router would it still work?”

They need the house wiring to work. If the non-attached house is attached to your breaker box in the main house they should work. If you have a separate power supply and meter on the other house they will not work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cant say for certain, i believe for it to work it needs to be plugged into outlets that are on the same circuit. Worst case best buy will take it back with no problems but you might be better off with a wifi extender or a whole home mesh set-up
