• This router will accept a standard RJ45 connection (ethernet cable) with an internet signal from an internet service modem (cable/fiber/DSL). If your modem has an output to plug an ethernet cable into, then the answer is yes.

• Yes. There are other routers with better capabilities, but this unit is fine for average users in average sized spaces. If you are using multiple wireless devices running multiple high volume applications, you might want to step up to something more robust. I bought this to use as a wireless access point for an area in the house with poor WiFi coverage.
