Yes. The Router is basically works with any Ethernet connection. Once you are connected to Verizon using the DSL modem, use the LAN (Yellow) provided with the Net Gear Router to connect the router to the modem. Once connected restart the modem and the router. The further settings you can find in the User Guide and I would suggest to install Net Gear Genie as soon as you are connected to the internet (it will take 5 mins to download and install). Using the Genie App, you can explore more with the advanced options and get the max speed using the dual band technology.

Most wifi routers will work with just about any Internet Service Provider

As long as your DSL modem connection delivers internet. You Must have a box that takes DSL and converts it an ethernet signal. (Ethernet is different from Internet. )

I feel sure it is as I have Charter DSL and it works great with that.

Not using the product with Verizon DSL but there is no reason it should not work with Verizon the same as it does with any oher providers DSL.
