First of all, addresses come from the router, band wide (2.4GHz) has nothing to do with addresses. When setting up the router you have a default IP address 192.168.1.1 which can go up to 192.168.1.255. You can connect up to 254 devices to this router. Each device gets one address. Most homes, if not all, will not need that many connections (addresses). for your second question, you can have just alphanumeric passwords.
