The wireless functions can typically be disabled on Netgear devices. I don't know the specifics of this router. However if you just need to use a wired connection you might want to look into purchasing a managed or unmanaged switch instead of a router. Managed switches allow you to control advanced routing features and unmanaged switches just connect all of the devices without the ability to use advanced features.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but if you're just wanting to run it straight from the Internet provider the old-school way just plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop. The router isn't needed at that point.. Unless there are specific devices you want to keep on the wireless connection. I do the same thing personally when I want to hoard the bandwidth in the house :^) Hope this helps.
