• This is not a modem. This is a wireless router. While it won't replace your modem, it will work with your wireless printer.

• Yes it will work. What I did is that I call my printer tech support and they connect the IP address to my router and I up load my printer app and I'm good to go. I can print document away from home too.

• Yes both wireless and USB options are available. I have my Canon PIXMA MX870 connected wirelessly. Plug and play.
