Arri's makes several modem/router combo in 1 unit - also believe several others also do - Motorola or others - look at Cox site and they have a list of compatible units - suggest spending few $$$ more for Docsis 3.1 model - probably @ $175 to $200 but you don't pay $10 per month lease fee to Cox
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the isp provider doesn't provide you a all in one modem and router, this device can be easily connected to your modem and proceed through easy Google wifi set up. Takes 10 min max.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Call your network provider to see how internet is transmitted to your location and what you want to do. I contacted a local less known internet provider in a remote rural location and asked if i needed a modem and also a WiFi router. I was told that i didn't need a modem. After researching, i chose Netgear N600 and gave the tech support internet provider the description off the box cover and was told that it was okay. I connected the Ethernet from the wall to Netgear and followed online instructions to log onto cellphone WiFi . Since i also have non WiFi capable laptop, i connected Ethernet from Netgear to the computer. I followed online instructions through the laptop. Everything works perfectly. Its best to ask than to assume. I assumed that i needed a modem and a WiFi router separately because my last very well known internet provider at a different location hooked me up with “their” equipment which was a modem AND a WiFi router. I probably should have asked then why both were needed from an established provider, while an unknown provider didn't need a Modem??
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend buying a Cox specific modem, then buying a router of your choosing to connect to the modem. Less hassle, and if the modem or router dies you can simply buy a replacement
