It will. I use it to extend connection and speed for my amazon fire stick. Make sure to plug it in close to your tv so signal strength it optimal.

You need look at the footage, distance that it can sustain. Then look at how far your router is away. They have different strengths and different prices depending upon the distance you will be away from your router.
