- Answer This is a DSL modem which uses standard phone twisted pair wiring. You still need to pay for a monthly plan from an Internet Service Provider that offers DSL service to your home or business. But usually nothing has to happen inside the home other than adding the DSL filter, as described in the instructions.

QuestionHave only had this a few days. Works well except for having to turn it on and off, once a day, in the morning, or there is no internet connection. It's like it's dropping it overnight. Why do I have to turn it on and off daily to get it to work?
