Yo can use any services. Your service provides with provide the additional modem required and set it up. You will still need to call separately to order internet service.

It allows you to add more than one computer to a cable or DSL modem. I have used several of these and have connected them to both cable and DSL service as well as building a new network off of en existing ethernet port. Very easy to set up and configure.
