Hi Chad. Thank you for your question! We are able to do this. Although it is possible to bypass the router portion of the unit and use your Orbi, we would actually recommend getting a new modem as well. Having an all in one unit can work temporarily but may cause issues down the line. If you have further questions, we'd be happy to explain it to you.
