• The machine makes 40lbs of ice a day. It actually stores only about 5 lbs of ice after it's made.

• You are correct, it does not hold a lot of ice. You need to take it out and bag it. One thing, this machine is very slow to make ice! It take a few hours to make 2 large ziplock bags. I am keeping it, but I don’t recommend it.

• It doesn’t hold hardly any ice. Also the ice isn’t that solid. The description isn’t accurate.

• Hold approximately 2 lbs of ice. Was hoping for a larger basket but it does put out a batch ever 10-15 minutes.
