No WiFi needed. It will connect to your phone w/ Bluetooth or, when using the app it will make a dedicated WiFi connection with your phone. The rear camera is an accessory that is purchased separately and does not come with it.

As long as your phone's wifi is turned on, you will not need to set-up anything else. Install Kit: This is not required as the camera can be powered by your 12V plug. However, there is a Hardwire kit avail if you'd rather keep your 12V plug open. The Hardwire kit allows you to use your car's fusebox for power. Warranty is 1-year.
