There is an app that you use to connect with the camera. I don’t like the phone app that much and find it’s easier to download any videos with my laptop. If you see something or if something happens the videos on the card are easily protected from being over written. It does have to Bluetooth pair with your phone for the GPS and SOS features to work. Setting it up isn’t hard though, and the directions are easy enough to follow.
