“My dashcam 522GW is making a fast kind of beeping noise when I start my car. If I take it off the holder and hit the reset button, it stops until I hook it up again. What could be causing this? Thank you.”

Hello Pat, Please remove the SD card, then press the reset button on the underside of the Dash Cam. Then, without the SD card inserted, please turn on the Camera. Does it now start normally? The alarm is usually symptomatic of a failed SD card. SD cards only have limited lifespans. In our manuals we recommend formatting every 2-3 weeks to prolong the life of the card. Without this regular formatting, or if the card is non-compatible or damaged, the card could corrupt which would cause a failure of data writing. Symptoms of SD card failure are: an audible 'alarm' tone, non-functional buttons, freezing, corrupted files on playback, image missing from files, lack of file recording etc. Please ensure you're using a compatible SD card and formatting every two weeks. I have a question for you? Were you able to connect to the camera WIFI? I'm having a hard time connecting. Called Geek Squad were I purchased the camera and made an appointment to take my car back for they try. FYI

Don't linger because I've turned my camera back in and they have yet to send my new one. Make sure you get names screen shot everything including your reciepts. I'm having a hard time getting back in touch with them so don't linger send that camera back before the warranty runs out! I hope this helps.
