The adapter that came with mine was only for the cigarette adapter. I think you can order one for USB. I have not used voice commands as I just use the basic, turn it on and forget it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Dave, The camera is designed to only be used with the included Cigarette Lighter Cable (12v) or the Nextbase Hard Wire Kit. We do include a USB cable, but this is only designed for computer use. If your car does not have a cigarette lighter socket, then I'd suggest using the Hard Wire Kit instead. The camera will stat up and record as soon as power is provided- you won't need to activate a recording. However if you do want to stop or start a recording, then you can press the red square in the bottom left hand corner of the camera's screen. The 522GW does have Alexa voice commands. You'll need the MyNextbase Connect and Alexa apps on your phone and for the phone to be within two meters of the camera whenever you'd like to use voice commands. The phone will need to have data signal to allow the Alexa app to communicate with the Alexa servers. Using the Alexa voice commands, you can operate features on the camera, such as start and stop recording, and taking a photo.
