Hello Chris, When the car is parked and the engine is turned off, the camera can still record events if Parking Mode is enabled and the camera has power (for example, via a hardwire kit) In Parking Mode, the camera is in a low-power standby state and will automatically start recording when physical movement or impact is detected. Each triggered event is recorded in a 30-second clip. If no further movement is detected, the camera will stop recording. If additional movement or impacts occur, the camera will start a new 30-second recording for each event. So yes, if something moves or impacts the car while it’s parked, the camera will record the event, as long as it continues to receive power. -The Nextbase Reviews Team
