With a 1TB hard drive and 8 cameras recording nonstop, footage is typically stored for several days before older recordings begin to be overwritten automatically when the hard drive becomes full. Yes, the system is designed to overwrite the oldest recordings first once storage reaches capacity, as long as overwrite is enabled in the recorder settings.
