• A:Answer Yes, you and swap out the 2TB for a 4TB HDD. Most Night Owl DVR/NVRs can accommodate larger hard drives. See your product Specifications for the max size. Our DVR/NVRs are compatible with internal SATA HDD's, 2.5" or 3.5". The HDD should have a minimum of 7200 RPM. We are not able to guarantee compatibility with external hard drives at this time. • A:Answer IT will, but only saves them for a short time. I am having other issues with this Night Owl system. I can not keep power to the cameras. I have been through 8 power strips that supply the cameras.
