QuestionHow do I view recorded footage? Can I do it through the phone app or do I have to upload the micro SD to a computer first? Also if the SD is full does the camera overwrite old footage and continue recording or does it stop recording completely?

- Answer Good Afternoon. You can view the recorded video from the convenience of the mobile app. Once the SD card becomes full you will have to reformat it to make space for new recordings! Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

QuestionSo I’ve read that by default cameras only record when motion is detected. How can I set them up to all record (24/7) because I can only see clips right now when motion is detected? I want to be able to check a certain time and day even without motion.

- Answer By default, this Night Owl system is set to record when motion is detected by one of the cameras. If a camera detects motion within the cameras field of view, a recording is generated and stored on your microSD card. If enabled, a push alert is sent to your Smart Device via our Free mobile App. Within the App, you can access your recordings for Playback. The gateway can hold up to a 32GB microSD card. - Answer These wireless cameras are not compatible with our Wired DVRs. They are compatible with our Gateway, Wireless NVR and Hybrid DVR. You can use the system separately in conjunction with your existing cameras, but these wireless cameras cannot be added to the DVR. Thank you!

- Answer The 2 indoor cameras with that model can be used without the Gateway, by connecting them to our free mobile App. Each camera would need its own microSD card for storage. Thank you!

- Answer It is set up to use your smart phone or tablet with the appropriate WiFi package to be able to be Truely wireless. It has the ability to record activities on up to 4 cameras and if you have the appropriate WiFi and data package to be able to view live in real time depending on how you configure the cameras - I use motion to trigger my system to record the activity. And the recorded activities are viewable on you phone or tablet when you need it. Mine is set up to plug into a u-verse type router. My guess is there could be a 3 or 4 party offering that might allow what you are seeking - but that is why this system is best used as a stand alone, no monthly cost, monitoring system with the ability to record the activities onto the included SD card- hope this helps!
