• You don't have to. However, if your DVR is connected to the Internet, you will be able to access from your PC. Also it is optional to connect this device to the TV. There are cables long enough to go from DVR to TV. You can find them at Home Depot!

• The DVR does not need to connect to a monitor to operate but you will need a monitor for initial system set up. You can view DVR content with remote connectivity. Download the Night Owl HD app (Apple or Android only) to view the system remotely.
