“Do the cameras need to be plugged into an electrical outlet as well as through the cable?”

• The system come with a 4 way power splitter that plugs in near the dvr that provided power to the cameras...no need to have an outlet next to the camera.

• All Night Owl cameras come with a 60 ft long coaxial cable that will provide a connection for video and power. Once you run the cable to the back of the DVR, you will connect the BNC plug for the video feed and the red RCA connector to a power supply that comes included in the system.

• Yes, but the cable that comes with each camera has both the video line and power line. So you can plug the camera into an outlet next to the DVR.
