QuestionRe: IR night vision. Is there a visible light when the cameras are operating at night? i.e. if you don't want the camera to be seen, will a light flash or be on constantly that would draw attention to it?

- Answer Good afternoon, During night time the IR cut filter relies on the LEDs to be on so that it perceives the IR colors below normal spectrum. the LEDs will turn on red when it is night vision active. the lights emitting from the lens of the camera will not be bright. and most times it is overlooked by the human eye based on the location of the camera.

QuestionDoes the system constantly upload live view through your internet connection or is it only when you access it from your mobile device? Didn't know if it would slow down your connection if you aren't accessing it through mobile connection?

- Answer Yes it does. The playback is very good n pic or tv. The play.back on cell phone or tablet is not as friendly. Does have time and date stamp on it though.

- Answer Thank you for your great question! You can have as many people as you want to log into the app but only 3 users will be able to view a live feed of the cameras at the same time. If a fourth user is trying to view the cameras while the other 3 users are already viewing them, the user will get a message letting him know that 3 users are viewing the cameras at the moment and the user will have to wait until one of them stop viewing the cameras. QuestionCan I hook this up to my monitor that is already hooked up to my desk top? My computer is connected with a VGA. I have a HDMI port free. Will this work for me? Or do I need a separate monitor?

- Answer Good afternoon, Dear customer, of course, you can use your PC monitor. if your PC monitor has 2x video inputs it will be best to alternate the video input. Once you connect it via HDMI , you would have to look through the monitor's menu to alternate the output and choose the type of output that you want to view one at a time. Best regards

- Answer No this an AHD system not a IP system. You will have to run the bnc cable for the cameras. If you do not know about the different technologies please read up on them or leave it to the professionals.

QuestionI bought the 8 channel system and puchased 2 extra Night Owl Cameras. I have 1 Swann camera new in the box from my old system, is the Swann camera compatable with the Night Owl system.

- Answer Dear Customer, This is a very good question. Our current systems do not have the ability to connect wirelessly to any router because they do not have the required hardware. Night Owl DVRs products will have to be connected physically from the camera to the DVR. Best regards.

- Answer All cameras will record at the same time, if you set it up that way. But the more cameras you have recording the more memory it takes up. We have 5 cameras and we can only play back up to 3 weeks. You can purchase an external hard drive and hook that up to it so that you can save more.

QuestionHow do these work outside if you need to run cables?

- Answer The cameras work great outdoors. I ran most of my cables through my walls and the cables come out the vent soffits under my eves. Running the wires is not difficult but a little tedious. I went from an older Nightowl system and upgraded to this one. The cables were compatible so I did not have to re-run a second time which I was very pleased with.
