“I know there are 3 modes as 24/7, motion, and time frame. I suppose in the 24/7 mode it will replace the oldest video when the storage were full. Can I set to replace the non-motion videos first, not 'erase' the motion videos?”

to answer your specific question - No on the "time lapse first to erase". when the drive fills the oldest gets replaced. so you always have the most recent events- motion or 24x7.
