“Can all 8 cameras be shown on a monitor live and also viewed live on the app, but only two cameras set to record to the DVR? I really only need to record on two cameras and would prefer not to fill up the DVR with footage from the other 6 cameras.”

Good Afternoon, yes you do have the ability to view all your 8 cameras remotely from your smart device by using the Night Owl Application. You may also set up the DVR so it only records certain cameras and not all cameras, all of this information can be found within the manual of the DVR within section 7.1.10, please follow the link below for the Night Owl DVR Manual.
